• HEADLAMP FIXATION

  The Backland helmet is equipped with a special fixation for the headlamp on the front.

  The lamp can be attached quickly and easily and sits securely in place.

  The ski goggle holder at the back of the helmet provides additional support and offers enough space for any batteries.

  This unique “egg-carton” construction creates an extenden crumple zone for maximized shock absorption. It also comes with ventilation holes so it´s cooler and lighter. This means up to 30% higher impact protection than industry safety standards require.

• HYBRID EPP IN-MOLD CONSTRUCTION

  The Backland helmet is made with the unique Hybrid EPP In-Mold construction.

  • This technology guarantees a long service life for the helmet: the EPP Edge Protection in the lower part of the helmet is particularly robust.
  • In the upper part of the helmet, the EPS foam is injected directly into the polycarbonate shell.
  • This in-mold construction makes the helmet incomparably light and provides reliable protection in the event of a fall.

  • The Backland helmet is “Multi-Norm certified”, it meets the safety requirements for skiing (EN 1077:2007), climbing (EN 12492:2012) and cycling (EN 1078:2012, CPSC 1203).

  The inner lining is made from recycled fibers according to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS).

  REMOVABLE AND WASHABLE SKIMO LINING

  The minimalist and removable helmet lining is the ideal compromise between padding and protection on the one hand and optimum ventilation and low weight on the other.
  The technical material absorbs sweat and regulates the temperature inside the helmet.
  It is ideal for winter ski tours as well as long bike trips in summer and is of course washable.

  The innovative and removable strap holder ensures that the goggles do not twist: important when racing for hundredths.
